GNO STEM Initiative Community Symposium September 2009
Core Element sponsored a Community Symposium on Thursday, September 17, 2009. Attended by over 140 community, business and education professionals, the symposium was organized in partnership with the National Science Resources Center, Lockheed Martin, Tulane University and the University of New Orleans to address regional stakeholders on the current state of K‐12 science and math education, the need to strengthen curriculum and instruction in these areas to better prepare students for jobs of the future and to inform the community of Core Element’s program of work in the New Orleans region and how stakeholders can get involved.
